Little Pippins is a charity , Registration Number 1105994, run by a volunteer management committee. All parents of children attending the pre-school are invited to be members of Little Pippins and the Management Committee must have a minimum of 60% current parent members on it for us to legally remain open.
We update our business plan (see policies) every year and review our key objectives and priorities for the year ahead. These are used to inform and guide fundraising targets, site maintenance and development projects, improvements to the services we offer, purchase and use of resources, staff continuing professional development, and improving communication with and involvement of parents in our setting and in the wider community.
Fundraising is crucial for the survival of Little Pippins. Fees and funding for free places just cover our staff salaries and overheads like heating and stationery. New equipment, replacing toys and financing major projects identified in our business plan are only possible if we raise other funds from raffles, tombolas, cake sales and other events and by applying for grants.

Help a Village Child Fund
We have a separate fund which can help with payments of fees for some local children to enable them to attend. The fund started with a donation from St Matthew’s Church to be used for that purpose and we continue to contribute 10% of all our fundraising to it.
Little Pippins joins in with many village events including Christmas Fair, Harwell Feast parade of floats and stall, Winter Ball.
